39 guests' feedbackA beautiful cottage, but a pity the hot water system didn't function properly. Supper was tasty, but not what one would expect in a 4-star accommodation. There was no menu; we were served a large plate of food. The wine of our choice was not available. Comparing with other 4-star accommodations, there is room for some improvement.
Very pleasant. Just very hot in the room. Definitely need air conditioning and no WiFi access in the unit.

The team at Addo Dung Beetle are very helpful and treated us incredibly well when there were inconveniences. We would definitely recommend them to anyone and use their accommodation again.
All that we expected. Staff were outstanding.
The only thing is that my wife and daughter wanted to enjoy your jacuzzi but it was out of order and this would have been the cherry on top of this beautiful evening at your place. Other than that I would highly recommend this to friends and family as well as tourists wishing to have a beautiful African experience in the bush. I will definitely be back on my next break from work.
It was very very peaceful and quiet, just what my wife and I needed.
The staff certainly made the visit even more enjoyable. Breakfast and dinners are really very nice.
What a lovely stay. Very nice view of the mountains. The outdoor shower was an experience so in nature with the birds singing. Would definitely recommend the forest cottages.
The forest cottages are secluded among the thick bacon trees and other vegetation and are private and lovely to stay in! It would have been better if there was a window for ventilation instead of that one must keep the sliding door open for fresh air. However, the weather was such that it was very pleasant to keep the sliding door open, but in colder weather it could be a problem. Unfortunately, the security gate with the screen in front of the sliding door was not very effective against the mosquitoes, but we brought it to the attention of the hostess. The outdoor facilities (shower and toilet) definitely get 5 stars! It is an experience to use the facilities in privacy and to be in nature surrounded by trees and a symphony of birds, while the gannets, water fiscals and tiptolls come happily chatting on the branches around you! It is a short winding path walk from the parking area to the cottage.
The outdoor shower was the highlight. First time, but definitely not the last time.
Had a very bad stay. I would not recommend Dungbeatle chalets. It's bitterly hot and feels like a baking oven. The aircon not sufficient to cool the place. No cleaning services cleaning your place and small ants a big problem. Overall the place is not up to standard.
Comfortable accommodation. The bush cabin is a short walk from the parking area.
Great all round trip with lots of activities to do near the accommodation with Addo Elephant Park being right around the corner.
Beautiful place, very tidy, hospitality was amazing. You really went the extra mile to make our visit here enjoyable. We loved the natural beauty and tranquility of the forest log cabins.
Beautiful view, very interesting information by host, a first experience of outdoor shower and toilet, slept comfortably. Perhaps a host can think of older guests' "nighttime get ups" with a small "tin comfort" in the room.
It was just what we needed to break away. The hospitality was absolutely fantastic and they went out of their way to help us whenever we asked for anything. All we can say is that the suites were not suitable for more than 1 night, because there were no self-catering facilities where we stayed, but we are assured that they are working to change that. Other than that, we can only say that it was delicious and will stay there again.

What an amazing location. We stayed in Bush Cabin 1. Secluded with beautiful outdoor shower and toilet. A truly unique experience. Friendly staff and clean accommodation. Took a morning run through the orange orchard. Worth the trip!
Host, hostess and other staff were very well trained in their work, work with a passion, make extra effort with a smile and chat very interestingly with a lot of knowledge and expertise shared about the very interesting environment. Everything is cared for in detail and exquisite rooms, garden, food and service.

Accommodation and hospitality were excellent. We really enjoyed our little dung beetle room. It made us feel like children in fairyland.
We found the Addo Dung Beetle cottage a bit claustrophobic, but the warm hosts, good food and perfect location made up for that and even more!

The host and hostess's service was just outstanding, helpful and friendly from the start. They made us feel so at home. The food was delicious, the sleeping facilities were spacious, clean and everything you need is there. I would recommend them anytime.
What an awesome weekend with amazing hosts!
The forest cabins are only suitable for young people with little sense of privacy, as the toilets are open and visible from the cabin. If it should rain or if the weather is bad, it will be difficult to cook as the 'kitchen' is not covered.
Very friendly hospitality, Rod and Magna are so friendly and really made us feel at home. Had a great time and the place is very neat, the passion and friendliness radiates from everyone who works there!
Location so conveniently close to Addo National Park. Easy and friendly service, helpful and unimproved breakfast! Nice location. Accommodation is very nice and is recommended.
